Maya April Moore is a professional WNBA basketball player who was born on June 11, 1989 in Jefferson City, Missouri. Maya started playing basketball at the age of three years old thanks to her mother, Kathryn Moore, who mounted a basketball hoop on the back of a door in their apartment to prevent Maya from running around the apartment.
