Thank-A-Teacher: 5th Issue

Posted on October 23, 2021November 5, 2021 by NIAC Collaborators

Our FLVS teachers are some of the finest in the land, so we will thank them. Here are just some of the messages so far.

Dear Mrs. Hartman of English 3,

Thank you so much Mrs. Hartman for teaching me not only English, but how to use my creativity. Thank you for letting me show my creativity in my work and for always being there for me when I asked you a million questions. I wish you all the best of luck in the future! 🙂

Sincerely, Alyssa L. of 8th Grade

Dear Mrs. DeFrance of Algebra 1,

Thank you so much Mrs. DeFrance for putting up with my curiosity while I was in your class.  Even when I came back every day to ask more questions you never complained. Thank you so much and I wish you all the best of luck in the future! 🙂

Sincerely, Alyssa L. of 8th Grade

Dear Ms. Gowland of Language Arts and AP English,

I never understood what people meant by life-changing teachers. Now I do. For my seventh and eighth grade years, Bobbie Gowland was my Language Arts teacher. “Teacher” is an understatement though. She not only taught me the curriculum, but she taught me the value of writing, the importance of expressing creativity and even more. She taught me to put myself into my writing. Without her, I would have never discovered the part of me that makes me…well me.

Sincerely, Bryze of 10th Grade

Dear Coach Dean of Peer Counseling,

Thank you Coach for helping me!!! It is very appreciated when you text back! I enjoy each and every time we have a DBA!!😊

Sincerely, Carli B. of 7th Grade

Dear Ms. Blessman of English 1,

Ms. Blessman is the most amazing and kind teacher I have ever had! She truly cares about her student’s success inside and outside of school! She was always there for me whenever I needed her. I was so lucky to have her!

Sincerely, Ava A. of 10th Grade

Dear Mrs. LaLonde of 7th grade English Language Arts,

Mrs. LaLonde is so much fun! She is so interactive, flexible, and delightful! She loves to get her students to interact (both with her and each other) and she is an absolutely amazing ELA teacher! Thank you, Mrs. LaLonde!

Sincerely, Sophie W. of 7th Grade

Dear Ms. Chybion of 6th Grade Science,

You are awesome Mrs. Chybion!! You were my favorite teacher last year and I hope you keep up the great work!!

Sincerely, Carli B. of 7th Grade

Dear Ms. Williams of Anatomy and Physiology,

Ms. Williams has been so helpful and kind! She has been there to help me in the course as well as outside of it! She is extremely understanding and thoughtful!

Sincerely, Allard D. of 10th Grade

Dear Mrs. Marissa of FLVS Newspaper Club (NIAC),

I would love to thank Mrs. Marissa Draeger for making NIAC meetings fun! She gives us the information that we need to write the perfect articles. She does not hesitate to give feedback and that is what I love about her. Overall Mrs. Marissa is a hardworking teacher and a sponsor who makes NIAC fun and informative with the help of our NIAC Editor-in-Chief named Hadley.

Sincerely, Cecilia K. of 9th Grade

Dear Mr. Schilling of AICE U.S. History,

Thank you for making all the live lessons so fun and informative, I look forward to the live lessons every week.

Sincerely, Daniel Albertson Jr. of 11th Grade

Thank you to all teachers! “See” you in our next issue.

“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.” ― William Arthur Ward

“Those who educate children well are more to be honored than they who produce them; for these only gave them life, those the art of living well.” ― Aristotle

“There are two kinds of teachers: the kind that fill you with so much quail shot that you can’t move, and the kind that just gives you a little prod behind and you jump to the skies.” ― Robert Frost

“You were there to guide us
You helped us from where we were
You showed us the way
So we would not get left behind
Like students in a puddle of tar”

― Halyard Twist
