FLVS student and News in a Club member Ava has two dogs – one which she obtained one month ago and another from four years ago. Their names are Benjy and Ted and they are both boys. Ava absolutely loves her animals! (Doesn’t everyone? Of course they do!)
Benjy
Benjy is a dog that Ava and her family have had for four years now. He just turned 13 years old! Ava says, “Benjy is very energetic! He is a very happy dog. He loves to run, go on bike rides, car rides, bark, and meet new doggy friends!” Benjy is a dachshund-beagle mix. Something funny that Benjy does is sneeze. “Benjy sneezes while he ‘snurrfles’ (rubs against the rugs and grass) and sometimes he tries to climb up trees after squirrels!”
Ava says that her favorite memory with Benjy is when she took him through the airport in a roller carrier and when she took him to the beach. Benjy has a great little sniffer for hunting. Ava also loves watching him roll around in the grass. But what really makes Benjy special are the markings on his fur and his funny personality.
Ted
Ted is a loving little fur ball that Ava just got about a month ago. He’s only 4 months old! Ted is super energetic and curious. He is a Shih Poo. Ava says something funny that Ted does is that he bites people’s ankles! “He runs through the house and slides like he’s a baseball player sliding into home base! And his barks are super cute.”
Ava’s favorite memory with Ted was when she first met him. Something super cute that Ted has been doing is run around the house and slide on the tile. Ava mentions that her favorite thing to do with Ted is play and take naps. What really makes Ted special? Ava says, “He makes little piggy noises when he’s happy or excited! And he knows how to kiss your nose with his lips. He is also a very fast learner as he is a shih poo!”
Ava sounds like she has such sweet dogs. Animals are forever treasured in our hearts as little beings that make life that much better.
