Where is the Cooney family? The Cooney's are the FLVS family who are going on an around the world adventure. There's Mike, Catrell and their three teenage sons, Morgan, 17, Zach, 17, and 14 year old Harrison who is an FLVS student. When I spoke with them they had been on their journey for over a month and were currently in Costa Rica, preparing to go to Peru.

But a recent survey by the Media Research Center shows that 9 out of 10 Americans believe the news is biased. While reporters may try to deny the fact – if you flip through popular news channels such as FOX, CNN, or MSNBC, the truth becomes apparent.

The Media, Our Role Models and Other Disappointments

This past May, just months after 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears shocked the world with the news of her pregnancy, I tuned into a grand finale marathon of her hit Nickelodeon show "Zoey 101." As I watched, one thing hooked into my brain. The further the marathon traveled through the three-year series, not only did the female characters get strikingly thin, the clothes got skimpier and skimpier.
